Kingston 5 Peaks Trail Races – Results and Photos

The start before we hit the mud.

Over 200 trail runners participated in the Kingston 5 Peaks Trail Races held on Saturday at the J&J Cycle Mountain Bike Trails just north of Kingston. Course conditions were challenging with heavy rains and extremely muddy trails over the rugged terrain.

Did we mention it was muddy?

Taylor Murphy won the men’s 5.9km Sport Course in a time of 23:19, followed by John Lofranco in 25:56 and Blake Murphy in 26:06. Amanda Murphy won the women’s Sport Course in a time of 28:42, followed by Grace Harju in 33:30 and Margarita Sviajina in 34:00.

In the 10.3km Enduro Course, Jordan Miller was the first across the line in the men’s race in a time of 43:24, followed by Richard Hayes in 44:32 and Gareth Davies in 46:04. Erin Gregory was the first female in the Enduro Course in 51:30, followed by Esley Albert in 55:45 and Amy Moustgaard in 55:54.

The Kid’s Challenge 1km and 1/2km Trail Runs were also held for future Enduro and Sport runners.

    Yes, it was a nasty day. We were actually lucky though as the next day there were sections of the course that were flooded out and we would have had to modify the course.

    Had a great time but was sent off course by a race marshall. Ended up doing the 5.9 instead of the 12K. Too bad since I had travelled so far to do this run.

    Sorry to hear that you went off course. We tried to have the course well signed and described. Not sure what happened with the course marshall, but must have been a misunderstanding. Hope to see you back next year as the Enduro course is a blast.
