I am thrilled to announce that I am now a Suunto Trail Running Ambassador.
I have never endorsed/recommended or sold a product that I didn’t 100% believe in, and Suunto is absolutely no different. I’ve used a number of GPS, heart rate, altimeter and running watches from various companies and most recently been very disappointed with the product and service of one of the other ‘major’ GPS brands out there. This inspired me to try Suunto.
Last year, I started using the Suunto T6D and was very pleased with it. In fact, I would say that the T6D was the best running watch that I have used in my 30 years of running up to that point. The assortment of features in the watch was spectacular, especially when adding the footpod accelerometer and the GPS pod to the system. However, there’s a lot to be said for the all in one option, and Suunto seems to have now nailed it with the Ambit. The other bonus is the very cool Movescount online software that allows for in-depth analysis of your training.
I’ve been very impressed with my initial few runs with the Ambit and looking forward to sharing many more ‘moves’ together. I expect to be giving a more thorough review of the Ambit in the coming weeks. The long battery life of the watch combined with the accuracy of the altimeter for elevation, and GPS for speed/distance makes this the perfect watch for ultra runners.
I am very excited to represent this great company and am more than happy to answer any questions that anyone may have about the Suunto Ambit, in addition to the T6D .

Awesome Derrick, looking forward to hearing your reviews on the Ambit.
