The DION CANADIAN SNOWSHOE SERIES supports the growth and participation in the sport and recreational activity of snowshoeing and snowshoe running for all ability levels; while providing quality competitive events at beautiful race venues.
Races are sanctioned and supported by Snowshoe Canada
CASH PRIZE PURSE:
Top 3 male and female competitors in the series will split a $1,200 cash prize ($300 for 1st, $200 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd).

RACE PLACING/POINTS AWARDED
1st place = 10 points 6th place = 5 points
2nd place = 9 points 7th place = 4 points
3rd place = 8 points 8th place = 3 points
4th place = 7 points 9th place = 2 points
5th place = 6 points 10th place = 1 point ​

SERIES GUIDELINES:

Champions are determined by total points.

Ties in races: split points.

Ties in series: resolved by head-to-head placements, then by total finishing times.

If snow conditions are poor, points will still be awarded for trail races.

FREE SNOWSHOES!:
One pair of Dion Snowshoes will be randomly drawn as a prize at each race.

FROSTY FOOT AWARD:
A $100 prize package, courtesy of Spafford Health and Adventure, will be awarded to the participant completing the most races. Ties will be decided by draw. (Top 3 series winners are ineligible.)

Snowshoe Canada is the governing body in Canada for snowshoe running, racing and as a recreational activity. All races in the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series have been sanctioned by Snowshoe Canada.
