2018 DION Winter Goose Chase Snowshoe Race - Results
The DION Winter Goose Chase Snowshoe Race was held today at the Shades Mills Conservation Area in Cambridge, Ontario. This was the third race in the DION Ontario Snowshoe Running Series.
Congratulations to all competitors! Conditions were fast and hard packed over the 6.8km course.
Calvin Douma of Cambridge finished first overall in a time of 29:47. Bruce Jesse of Toronto was second in 30:00, followed by Ryan Saunders of Hamilton in third in 33:04. Michael Ma of Toronto was the top male master (over 40yrs) in a time of 33:19.
Michelle Brady of Guelph was the top female in a time of 36:41. Lindsay Henderson of Burlington was second in 38:18, followed by Vicki Zandbergen of Kitchener in third in 39:11. Christa Voshimoto of Guelph was the top female master in a time of 40:36.

The next race in the DION Ontario Snowshoe Running Series is the DION Summerstown Forest Snowshoe Race in Cornwall, ON on February 10, 2018. Online registration is still available, so sign up now!
Points are awarded for each race in the series with male and female series winners each being awarded a pair of DION racing snowshoes at the conclusion of the series.
