2019 DION Ganaraska Forest Snowshoe Race - Results
The DION Ganaraska Forest Snowshoe Race took place today near Port Hope. This was the fifth race in the 2019 DION Ontario Snowshoe Running Series.
Ideal conditions greeted the runners today at beautiful Ganaraska Forest.
Nick Best posted the fastest time of the day winning the mens race in a time of 40:21 over the 8km course. Danny Tresise finished less than 30 seconds behind in 40:50, followed by Neil Ibey in third in 66:57. The top male master (over 40yrs) was Tom Patterson in 77:13.
Lisa Leskien won the women’s race and was third overall in a time of 49:03. Jen Kellett finished second in 55:26, followed by Marcia Coelho in third in 55:47. The top female master was Tara Wilson in 68:08
A portion of proceeds from the race will be donated to help support Beyond21.

The final race in the Dion Ontario Snowshoe Running Series is the Dion Howlin’ Husky Snowshoe Race in Kingston on February 23.
