2020 DION Ignite the Night Snowshoe Race - Results
The Dion Ignite the Night Snowshoe Race took place on Saturday, January 11, 2020. This was the first race in the Dion Ontario Snowshoe Running Series.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t exactly cooperate with a major rainstorm in the final 2 days before the race to melt the snow away, so the race was held as a trail run instead. Fortunately the freezing rain that was forecasted didn’t materialize and road conditions were good for all who had to travel.
The poor weather didn’t damper the enthusiasm of all participants though as they raced through the festive lights of Upper Canada Village.
