2023 Dion Snow Bunny Snowshoe Race - Results
Congratulations to everyone who took part in today’s Dion Snow Bunny Snowshoe Race held at Vanderwater Conservation Area in Thomasburg, Ontario.
This was the third race in the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series.
The snow conditions were fantastic over this beautiful rolling 6.5 km course. With series points up for grabs, the competition was deep in both the mens and women’s races.
Bernie Hogan was the first runner to cross the finish line in a time of 32.23. Charley Murphy finished second in a time of 33:10, followed by Chris Cheeseman in third in 33:59.
Jen Wilson was the top female runner in the race in a time of 47:40. Sophie Desgagne and Joannie Corriveau finished in a shared tie for second place in 48:18 (Series Points Note: 2nd and 3rd place points were combined and split between Sophie and Joannie).
A huge congrats to race directors Erin McDougall & Naomi Coker of Dirty Soles Trail Running who organized a fantastic race in this first year event. Erin and Naomi wish to say a heartfelt thank you to their fantastic team of family, friends and volunteers for all their hard work in making this such a wonderful event!

The next race in the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series is the Canadian Snowshoe Running Championships to be held next weekend in St Hyacinthe, Quebec.
